2 award wins for Long Shot Hard Seltzers

Some great news to brighten up this dreary ‘Summer’ day.

Both our Grapefruit and Strawberry & Rhubarb hard seltzers have picked up awards at this years IWSC tasting.

The IWSC is one of the world’s largest and most influential international spirit awards companies, and for 50 years has been setting the international benchmark for quality, standing out in the crowded world of drinks awards with hundreds of global experts.

And clearly they know what they’re talking about – with our all-natural hard seltzers both bagging Bronze medals - from over 4000 samples, and judged by 80 different experts in the biggest spirits judging process in their history over eight days.

Each year the IWSC results reveal trends that go on to be seen within the industry, and this year is no different with spirits judging committee member, David T Smith describing this year as “a bumper one for ready-to-drink (RTD) products, which is reflective of their growing popularity in the wider market”.

Hard Seltzer First-Timer

This was the first year hard seltzers were include for judging, and here's what they had to say about our alcoholic sparkling waters:

Grapefruit

"Pleasant aroma of grapefruit creates a good acidity. Refreshing and well-balanced with lasting, straightforward grapefruit flavour"

Strawberry & Rhubarb

"Wild strawberry, rhubarb aromas with lovely texture. Fruity taste resembles a summer crumble"

Humble Crumble

Our Strawberry & Rhubarb hard seltzer was inspired by the classic Summer fruit crumble, with the first batches even being made from the fruits grown in our own gardens or sourced from nearby farms. Whilst our grapefruit was a nod to all the gin drinkers out there, or those who like their drink with a little more bite.

It’s always great to hear good feedback, and we’ve so far had some great reaction to our range of low calorie hard seltzers: Recently being awarded a Great Taste award, and also picking up the top prize of ‘Worlds Best Hard Seltzer’ at the World Premix Awards (sorry – any excuse to repeat that one!)
